Dolly Parton anuncia «mi primer álbum de rock and roll»: Rockstar, que será publicado el 17 de noviembre. En vinilo estará disponible en diferentes colores y portadas.
«¡Estoy muy emocionada por presentar finalmente mi primer álbum de rock and roll, Rockstar!», dice Parton. «Me siento muy honrada y privilegiada por haber trabajado con algunos de los mejores cantantes y músicos icónicos de todos los tiempos y poder cantar todas las canciones icónicas a lo largo del álbum fue una alegría sin medida. ¡Espero que todos disfrutéis el álbum tanto como yo disfruté hacerlo!».
Parton ha contado como invitados con Ringo Starr y Paul McCartney (versionando “Let it be”), Mike Fleetwook, Peter Frampton, Sting, Steve Perry, Debbie Harry, Michael McDonald, Stevie Nick, Elton John, Emmylou Harris y Sheryl Crow, entre otros. Gary Rossington, de Lynyrd Skynyrd, fallecido en marzo, aparece en versionando su canción “Free bird”, en la que también se ha incluido la voz del fallecido Ronnie Van Zant.
