Se editan los dos homenajes a Woody Guthrie, con Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Pete Seeger…



Woody Guthrie, fallecido en 1967, fue objeto de dos conciertos de homenaje: en 1968 en el Carnegie Hall de Nueva York y en 1970 en el Hollywood Bowl de Los Ángeles. Bear Family Records publicará el 22 de septiembre “Woody Guthrie: The Tribute Concerts”, un libro disco de tres CDs en los que se recogen íntegros ambos conciertos, incluyendo material hasta ahora inédito. Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Richie Havens, Odetta, Judy Collins, Tom Paxton, Country Joe McDonald y Jack Elliott fueron algunos de los músicos participantes. Los actores Will Geer y Peter Fonda ejercieron de narradores.
