Ya está a la venta en España el triple álbum “Ultimate Creedence Clearwater Revival: Greatest Hits & All-Time Classics”, que recorre toda la carrera de Creedence Clearwater Revival, una de las bandas esenciales de la historia del rock. Contiene un total de 52 temas, repartidos en tres CDs. Los dos primeros recopilan las versiones en estudio de clásicos como ‘Proud Mary’, ‘Bad Moon Rising’, ‘Fortunate Son’, ‘Who’ll Stop the Rain’, ‘Lookin’ Out My Back Door’, ‘Travelin’ Band’ o ‘Down on the Corner’. Y el tercero está integrado por grabaciones en vivo de conciertos ofrecidos en Oakland, San Francisco, Londres, Estocolmo, Ámsterdam, Hamburgo y Berlín entre 1970 y 1971.
Además de los tres CDs, “Ultimate Creedence Clearwater Revival: Greatest Hits & All-Time Classics” contiene un ensayo del historiador de la música Alec Palao, en el que escribe “Se dice que en cualquier momento en Estados Unidos hay una banda en un bar tocando un clásico de Creedence: una máxima que puede aplicarse a todo el mundo civilizado”.
