El 20 de abril de este año tuvo lugar en el Moody Theater de Austin (Texas) un concierto de homenaje a Johnny Cash con motivo del 80 aniversario de su nacimiento en el que participaron, entre otros, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Lucinda Williams, Shelby Lynne, Shooter Jennings y Sheryl Crow. Legacy Recordings publicará el concierto en diferentes formatos (DVD, Blu-Ray y CD) el 7 de agosto, con el título de “We Walk the Line: A Celebration of the Music of Johnny Cash”.

En el concierto, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Shooter Jennings y Jamey Johnson interpretaron juntos ‘Highwayman’, canción del primer disco de los Highwaymen (Johhny Cash, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson y Waylon Jennings).
