El 12 de noviembre de 2010 tuvo lugar en el teatro Beacon de Nueva York el 30 concierto anual de homenaje a John Lennon. Patti Smith, Jackson Browne, Taj Mahal, Shelby Lynne, Joan Osborne, Alejandro Escovedo, Keb’ Mo’ y Martin Sexton fueron algunos de los participantes. El próximo 15 de noviembre se pondrá a la venta un CD, “The 30th Annual John Lennon Tribute, Live from the Beacon Theatre NYC”, que recogerá el evento. Los beneficos irán destinados a la Cruz Roja japonesa.
